Daniel Wells, MD
As a board-certified family physician, I am focused on whole person care and whole family care and I try very hard to be both an advocate and a guide to my patients as we navigate the maze of modern medicine. Being a family doc, I enjoy a bit of everything including: pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, and a variety of procedures. I love my job with Sound Family Medicine and hope to be here for some time.
I completed my family medicine training in Northern California with Sutter Health, after completing medical school at University of California Irvine, School of Medicine. I also have a degree in psychology at Brigham Young University. I have been pleased to be a member the Gold Humanism Honor Society, Pierce County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. I am pleased to be one of Sound Family Medicine’s doctors offering family-centered maternity care, with obstetrical privileges at Good Samaritan’s Birthing Center. Though I am not old, I believe in the “old-fashioned” style of healthcare, where the family physician plays a central role. Because of this, I continue to perform hospitalist services for my own patients.
When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with my family. I have five brilliant children (yes, they get that from their mother), and a full and busy life outside of medicine. I hope to be able to assist you and your family in being as healthy as possible.
