Stacy Merrifield, DO
I provide family care with an emphasis on primary care and obstetrics. I decided to go into family medicine because I like the variety it provides. Offering full-scope family medicine is a wonderful opportunity and my goal as a healthcare provider is to care for the entire family – newborns, grandparents, and everyone in between. My favorite aspect of family practice is building and cultivating my relationships with patients and seeing multi-generations.
I went to the University of Washington for my undergrad where I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and General Studies emphasis on Sports and Health. Following graduation, I went on to receive my medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my family medicine residency, at Tacoma Family Medicine.
As a physician I seek to provide my patients with a wide range of acute, chronic and preventive medical care as well as comprehensive obstetric services. I also offer my patients osteopathic manipulation, a full-body system of hands-on techniques to help alleviate pain, restore function, and promote health and well-being.
In my free time I enjoy a spending time with my family and friends, crafting, outdoor activities and traveling. I look forward to practicing at the Sunrise clinic and being a member of the Sound Family Medicine team.
