Daniel Wells, MD
I am pleased to be one of the newest physicians in the Puyallup Hartland office of Sound Family Medicine. My wife and I have greatly enjoyed both the area and our community here in Puyallup since moving here in 2008.
As a board-certified family physician, I am focused on whole person care and whole family care and I try very hard to be both an advocate and a guide to my patients as we navigate the maze of modern medicine. My wife will be the first to tell you that I love what I do. I do not have a clinical focus, and I enjoy a bit of everything including: pediatrics, obstetrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, and the variety of procedures I perform in clinic.
I completed my family medicine training in Northern California with Sutter Health, after medical school at University of California Irvine, School of Medicine. I also have a degree in psychology at Brigham Young University. I have been pleased to be a member the Gold Humanism Honor Society, Pierce County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
I am pleased to be one of Sound Family Medicine’s doctors offering family-centered maternity care, with obstetrical privileges at Good Samaritan’s Birthing Center. I also continue to perform hospitalist services for my patients. I believe in an old-fashioned, socially responsible approach to healthcare.
When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with my family. I have four brilliant children (they get that from their mother), and we are expecting our fifth toward the end of 2009… still welcoming new patients!
