New Bonney Lake Office to Come In 2011.

Sound Family Medicine is teaming up with MultiCare and top area specialists to build Bonney Lake’s largest and most technologically-advanced medical office building. On July 13th, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the future site.  Construction has begun on the three-story, 58,500 square foot building, which will sit on over four acres of land southeast of the intersection of South Prairie Road and Highway 410 in Bonney Lake.

In addition to our offices providing maternity, pediatric, adult care, and walk-in clinic, other specialists will offer services such as imaging, physical therapy, oncology, ophthalmology and dermatology.

Sound Family Medicine and Sound Same-Day Clinic will move into the new space upon completion in September 2011. We are excited for this move because the new facility will provide the space and resources needed to better care for the growing Bonney Lake community. Our Medical Director, Dr. Aversa, notes that, “We are at full-capacity in our current space in Bonney Lake. The community is growing and we just cannot fit any more health providers in that space.” He adds, “We think the new multi-specialty building will be a huge upgrade in our ability to provide excellent care for families in Bonney Lake. We’ll be able to offer patients coordinated care between many providers in one place.”

Residents of Bonney Lake have grown accustomed to traveling to Puyallup or Tacoma to visit a specialist. With this new facility, they will be able to receive nearly all of their healthcare services without needing to leave Bonney Lake. As a resident of the Bonney Lake community, Clinic Administrator, Denise Martel, is also excited about the new addition. “Living in the Bonney Lake area for the past 19 years has allowed me to personally experience the commercial and residential growth of the community,” she says. “I am excited at the opportunity to be involved in making healthcare more available and convenient to the citizens and members of my own community.”
